Koska Chocolates from Turkey

Chocolate from different countries have unique flavors. I think it's due to the fact that manufacturers make them with regards to the locals' preference. Being a chocolate lover, I always try to sink my teeth into the Aztecs' masterpiece in all possible flavors.

First stop: Turkey. A colleague who visited Istanbul gave me chocolates from the country. It comes in bite size pieces and she gave me three. I love the design as it promotes Turkey's tourist spots. It's a nice way to get to know the country better.

The chocolate came in two variants: bitter and milk chocolate. I always save the best for last, so I ate the dark chocolate first then the milk chocolate last. Well, I haven't tasted both before, so I assume I would like the latter better.

As much as it is called 'Bitter Chocolate', it was surprisingly lightly sweet for me. Sure I could taste the specific flavor of bitter chocolate, but there is a sweet contrast in it. Such feature is very rare with other bitter chocolates that I've tasted. This variant snaps at bite. I love it when chocolate melts in my mouth. For Koska Dark Chocolate, you have to wait for a few minutes before it melts.

The milk chocolate variant, on the other hand, has very soft texture compared to the bitter one. It is sweet but not the type that hurts the tonsils. Now that is rare! The color has the soft shade of brown, as seen in the picture below. The chocolate glides on the teeth at every bite. It is very creamy and it is definitely the melt-in-your-mouth variety.

I know it's not the typical me, but I would choose the bitter variant as the winner! :) I like it better! For the first time, bitter chocolate made me experience a unique flavor that's just outstanding among other brands.

It was nighttime when I ate the chocolates. I didn't expect it to have such a high caffeine content. The result? Ah, I had a hard time counting sheep, which made this experience more unforgettable.
