Fambam at Arca's Yard Cafe Baguio

Fambam and I recently went to a trip in Baguio. Yeah, I know I should write about it travel-blog style but I'm more excited to share about the food trips we had rather than the entire itinerary. Hmmm... Maybe soon after. But first, lemme tell you about one of the best places to get good food in Baguio.

My cousin brought us to Arca's Yard Cafe. It was the first place that we visited in Baguio. It's a little difficult to get there though. It's on a bit of a slope and quite far from the main road. Taxis were not willing to go there but luckily, we found one. We paid about PhP250 for the ride. It took about 15-20 minutes to get there. The place is easy to spot. It looked like a warm house with the big signage saying "ARCA'S YARD".

The cafe was quaint and works of art like paintings and sculptures surround the walls. The lush green view from the balcony was a sight to behold. And I thought to myself, this place smells like inspiration!

You can sit on the floor if you want :)

Oh! That's me enjoying the scenic view outside!
We fell in love with the place instantly and we couldn't help but take selfies. Luckily, we were the first customers to arrive that day and we had the whole place to ourselves for a while. Yep, we also had a hard time choosing a table.

Selfies all over the place! Hahaha~
We finally settled at a spot on the second floor. It was about lunch time so we ordered something heavy. Since it was my first time in Baguio, I asked for one of its specialties: Strawberry! (^_^) Here is my freshest Strawberry Smoothie ever~

It's so fresh it didn't taste like those artificial candy~ Yum! Strawberry Smoothie (PhP 90)
Next stop... of course, there has to be rice. We chose to have Crispy Lemon Orange Chicken and Longganisa. Not only is the presentation a win, but the taste, too! Wow~

There is a balance of sweetness and sourness in the sauce of the chicken. The sesame seeds added an appealing variety to the dish. The Longganisa was flavorful. The meat was true to the distinct flavor of longganisa. Finally, the rice was fragrant and soft. Yum!

There were three of us, right? So there has to be a third dish. My aunt likes pasta and she ordered Pesto Carbonara for us. That was a standout, too. I like this as each pasta strand was generously covered with pesto and smothered with Parmesan cheese.

So, are you drooling, yet?

Our family lunch... Yummy!
The food excursion is never complete without desserts! Whee~ This is my favorite part! The bestseller of Arca's Yard... presenting the ARCA's Docto Pie a la Mode or better known as Camote Pie~

Of all the food we ordered, Camote Pie is my most unforgettable one... maybe because I have a sweet tooth. Hehehe~ But yeah... It is unique. The camote they used is the color orange variety. I'm not really into eating Camote but I'm really into this pie.

There are no fibers in the mashed camote (the middle orange part). The next best part? It is topped with Vanilla ice cream and sprinkled with breadcrumbs and Pinipig! Truly a remarkable gastronomic experience!

I give this place 5 of 5 stars for the place, service, and most of all, the quality of food! If I ever go back to Baguio, this place will be my first stop on the list again.
