Harry Potter Cafes Around...

Hi y'all! I'm Mariel reporting from the Hufflepuff House! I heard that Harry Potter themed cafes are popping out all over the world. Therefore, it is my duty, as a food enthusiast, to go out there and explore 'em. Let me share with you two of the places I've been to. One in Manila and another in Singapore! \(^_^)/

Harry Potter fans in Manila can enjoy hanging out in The Nook. It is a quaint little space of books, food, and Harry Potter goodies! We visited this place some months ago with my family. Luckily, we were one of the first few customers to arrive so we got a chance to go in right away. Yep, you need to be there early. Else, you would have to queue in outside.

The Nook puts a smile on my face.
My sister really loves Harry Potter and she's proud to declare being part of the Ravenclaw House. Both of us could not contain our joy upon seeing the scarves, robes, and other goodies! There was even a Time Turner!

My family and I enjoying our time at The Nook. Heya~ I'm from Hufflepuff  and my sister is from Ravenclaw.

All we need is time. The Time Turner is all we need.

The most anticipated Butterbeer was on our list to try first! We had the float variation with vanilla ice cream on top! And I'm so much speechless to even describe the balance of sweetness and buttery creaminess it offers! Hmmm... Lemme say it tastes just like your butter candy, only so much better! Yum!

Butterbeer!

We ordered a lot of food! We had Nook Overload, Cheesy Spicy Chicken, and Deep Fried Cream-O. The only downside was that the waiting time was so long. But~~ It compensates for the quality of food you get. Plus, you won't get bored as you can go around and take photos of the other props inside the cafe. Yay!

Delicious Nook Overload: sausage sandwich topped with fries.

Cheesy Spicy Chicken Wings is so yummy!

Deep Fried Cream-O is the sweet bomb for dessert! :D

The Nook is more of a cozy place where you can curl up, read, and eat! It definitely captures my own taste~

I enjoyed my time in The Nook and I will come back in there again soon! Whee~~ It gave me the hype to go to other Harry Potter cafes, too. And when I heard that there's another in Singapore, I asked my boyfriend to take me there right away!

Platform 1094, a Harry Potter Cafe in Singapore
When we got to Platform 1094, the friendly staff saw us checking out the menu at the podium outside. He invited us in and the interior took my breath away! The wooden tables, the brick walls, and the wrought iron chandelier all make up for that medieval feels. Aside from that, they also have a shelf containing different wands, specs, Funko Pops, and hardbound Harry Potter books. On the side, there's a coat stand of various robes and scarves. Pair the costumes with a broom to bring out the Harry Potter fan in you. Of course, I just need to try it. But for now, I wanted to be a Gryffindor. Wheee~

I'm surrounded by all things medieval~

Can't miss this brick wall!

The place is more on being a restaurant. The menu is about creative concoctions of drinks and food. They didn't have Butterbeer, though. *sad* (T_T) But the range of drinks are awesome! Termed as "Potions", it really is close to the real ones. Like this Thunderbolt Potion... Served in a tall beaker, the color itself is reminiscent of a cauldron of vegetables, just like in the time of Harry Potter.

My date and I ordered the Lebanese Grilled Chicken Pasta. Smothered with cheese and rich thick creamy sauce, it was the perfect meal for brunch. The waiting time for the food was no more than fifteen minutes for us. Now, that's fast service! Yum!

Our delicious meal at Platform 1094: Thunderbolt Potion and Lebanese Grilled Chicken Pasta. Yum!

We had a great time at Platform 1094. Next time, I'll try out their bestseller drink, "Mr. Lich's Flaming Brew". I'd like to see a literal "Goblet of Fire", or something close to it. Yay!

The Nook and Platform 1094 impressed me a lot that I decided to have in my bucketlist a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Japan, Hollywood, or in Orlando! I want to try their own versions of Butterbeer or Potions, too. And if there's some hidden cafe in an obscure place in every corner of the world, watch out, I'll be coming for ya!
