Reese's in Ice Cream

Who here loves Reese's? Oooh... I do I do! Though my boyfie doesn't like it because of peanut butter. But who cares about what he thinks. Haha! I love peanut butter and chocolate with it is just a taste of happiness.

But... he did treat me to two bars of Reese's and it was in dark chocolate and white chocolate flavors. Those varieties are not available here in my country. Yay!

Last Christmas, I got over-excited about Dairy Queen's featured Blizzard of the Month: Reese's Blizzard in Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry ice cream. Unfortunately, it was not enough to please my palate. I didn't like it as both the ice cream and the peanut butter felt too rich on the tongue. Don't get me wrong. I still love DQ, especially the Chocolate Xtreme Blizzard. I just didn't like the Reese's Blizzard, that's all.

However, just this month, the fast food chain Jollibee featured Reese's in their mix-ins sundae. I loved the Kitkat and Kisses versions. I was skeptical about this new topping. But hey, since it's Reese's I still gave it a try.

Reese's Mix-ins from Jollibee
I know it doesn't look appetizing and I understand why. The staff of fast food chains need to rush the orders. But what it lacked in presentation, it made up for the taste. (^_^)

Bits of Reese's chocolate is the topping

Yep, this Reese's in ice cream version is yummy! The soft serve of Jollibee is not thick, and yes, it melts easily but it works well with the thick peanut butter in Reese's.  It is a flavorful explosion of chocolate, peanut butter, and vanilla in a cold cup.

Oh, so here's the poster, I just hope that I will get that kind of presentation in my next order...

Hopefully, it won't be sold out on my next visit. Mix-ins sell out easily for something this delicious, I would understand why.

That looks so delicious! I like to make something similar at home, too (favorite ice-cream flavor + chopped up chocolate).
