Toy Con 2015

June has always been the month that geeks look forward to. Why? Toy Con baby! For this year 2015, ToyCon was on June 19, 20, and 21 in SM Megamall Megatrade Halls. I’m so happy to have attended the second day! I have attended Toy Con since 2011 and I must say, the event gets bigger and bigger every year. That means an over-crowded place, too. Sheesh… I was so haggard after attending the event, but it was worth it. :)

The entrance was super cool! And the first thing that I saw inside was the huge life-size toys of Iron Man and Ultron. Just beside it is the DC booth.

The place was full of toys, toys, toys! Big and small… Some are for sale and others are for display. *Drools*

Antman display

A Lego display! (^_^) Love it!

Cool Coke bottles design

Terminator Life-size figure

It wasn't just toys, comics were also on display

Photos, too. I like the Michael Jackson one at the center

Wolverine! Rawr!

Magneto sits high and mighty!

I particularly like this Hulk figurine, for a whole lotta reasons. Hahaha~

These wall lights are so cool!

Hulkbuster was in the house, too!

Minions for sale! :)

I so love the Minions booth...

Well, aside from the toys, there were happenings at the stage, too. I listened to a forum about toy collecting.

The most memorable moment for me is when I finally had the chance to have my photo taken with Alodia  and Ashley Gosiengfiao at the Cosplay Circle Alodia X Ashley booth.

Me with Ashley and Alodia! Yay! (photo by Christian Mack)

Then, it was gone after like… a minute or two? It was so fast that I forgot to take a solo shot of Alodia and Ashley. I wasn’t starstruck, no… I already saw them in person a lot of time in various cons. I guess I was really into the moment of realizing a goal. But no worries, arkadymac.com to the rescue…

I guess I would have to talk more about it in a separate post. I got a lot to tell you! (^_^) Oh.. when I came out of the booth, I saw Alodia’s Ball-Jointed-Doll named Circa. She is so adorable.

Alodia's doll, Circa.

Cosplayers left messages on the freedom board and there’s one stand-out among them:

Alodia's coscard and signature!

Toy Con is not just for toys! Cosplayers were there, too. Here are a few that I took photos of. I wish I could take pictures of them all.

I enjoyed this year’s Toy Con and I went home with some purchased items. Well, some were freebies from sponsors. My favorites are the Liselle postcards and T-shirt I bought from the artist Lisa Lee.

Considering how popular Toy Con is in the Philippines, we hope that the event will keep growing until it’s prestigious enough to gain the attention of the international scene. I’m excited for next year! The venue will be in SMX Convention Center.  I do hope that it will be large enough to  cater for the ever increasing crowds.

Good to see your thoughts on ToyCon. I went there, but during Day 3. Great event, good people. :)
