[Game Review] Perfect Match (Choices)

My usual reviews don’t include spoilers. But today, I’ll make an exception. Sharing about this episode with restrictions won’t do my emotions justice. Hey, I love this book!
I’m writing about the “Perfect Match” book in the game “Choices”. Following Blood Bound, I decided to play a romance book for the sake of finishing chapters for ingame Diamonds. What I didn’t know was, it would become so addictive to play. 😂

Writing and Gameplay:
The writing is very immersive! The play of words help you picture the scenes as they come alive with the art and music. As for the gameplay, the most important choice is the matchmaking quiz. The personality of your love interest will be determined here. It will influence the whole direction of the story. Which I think, is genius! More adventures is revealed in every chapter. As it was placed under the romance section, I didn’t expect it to evolve into science fiction. That is such a good twist! So, romantic science fiction it is!
Art and Music:
Art and music is everywhere in this book. The sceneries were on point. From the quaint apartments to soaring skyscrapers, it such an artistic achievement! The characters look beautiful, especially their clothes. With the music to put the right mood in, it becomes one great book!
Plot:
It just started out with a matchmaking service. So I thought, hey this is like a story about falling in love through an app? I was skeptical at first, but finding out how the story unfolds is the best part. So, I stuck around and went to answer the questions about my ideal partner. There are a total of sixteen personalities, and I got... Rebellious!
“Yes! Yes!”, that was my initial reaction. The quiz figured me out to a T. Genius!
Next was about meeting the match, named Hayden. You can choose how he looks like. The first date was awesome! I got so kilig and what can I say? Love at first sight?
The book really toyed with my emotions and made it such an exciting experience. Now that is totally a winner!
The first parts of the episode were about getting to know each other and going out on more dates. I initially thought that it would stay that way throughout all the remaining chapters.
But boy, I was wrong! Come halfway through, a major twist occurred! Hayden is a robot! Shookt!
I was presented with a dilemma. I fell in love with an android and it’s too late to change my mind. Would you love an android? Someone who’s not human, someone with no soul?
Yep, this book is also about mind boggling philosophies. I love it! I would’ve broken up with Hayden when I found out what he is. But my real life boyfriend (who likes everything AI) and I talked about it. He said if a robot is able to think for himself and develop his own personality, then it’s okay to have a relationship with it.
So there you have it, that’s the reason why I still accepted Hayden as my MC’s boyfriend.
And that’s where the plot really propelled forward. From becoming a fugitive to destroying a mega corporation, my character and Hayden went through all of it, up until the cliffhanger ending. For your sake, I won’t spoil the plot further. 😂
Conclusion:
The Choices team really exceeded my expectations with Perfect Match. It is everything I love in a story. And rarely do I replay the book and spend for some Diamond scenes.
And I tell you this, that ending was full of potential and more conflicts for Book 2! Can’t wait! Airing this month, you guys! Yay!
