Oh No Manga Cosplay Camp 2
One anime event that I love is Oh No Manga. I was present for the first one last year and I gotta commend the organizers for putting up a really good event! Everything was in order and I appreciate how the numbers of the cosplayers were printed and laminated. It felt so good wearing that number on stage. :)
This year's event went a notch higher. The theme was Oh No Manga Cosplay Camp 2: The Coin and Flour Saga and was held on July 7, 2013 at SMX Convention Center Hall 1. There was better venue, stage, and more freebies for participants to enjoy! Yay!
Just like last year's Oh No Manga Cosplay Camp, a huge Gundam was also on display. But now, Tokyo Tower was included!
What I love about this event are the free professional photo booths! Here is my friend Reeve and his photo taken by the excellent pros of Kiaroscuro House of Art and Photography:
And my photo taken by the great photographers from the Cosplay Network Philippines photo booth:
Cosplayer and Animax Ani-Mate Rhianna was a guest of the Animax booth. I was very happy to have a photo with her. :)
Aside from booths, there were also grand freebies! I mean really grand! Cosplay registrants were given free pair of Geolica Contact Lenses! I will surely use mine. I have never worn contact lenses before but with this, I guess it's time to finally try! I am secure with this because it is BFAD approved!
This event is special to me. I decided to take my Rei Ayanami cosplay on stage for the first time. This was also my first cosplay catwalk for 2013. :) Here is an incredible shot by Kiaroscuro House of Art and Photography:
So enough about me, let's get on with the cosplayers who graced the event! They were so beautiful, I wanted to take photos of all of them. But alas! my camera can only get shots of a few. Here they are:
My favorite cosplayer of the day is... this girl who portrayed Merida from the 3D animation Brave! There is something special in her! The costume is great. I like the hair and how she dyed her eyebrows orange, too! Anything to just be in character! And admit it, she's cute!
Gorgeous cosplayers, weren't they? This is probably the first event that I enjoyed as an event itself. I love everything in it, especially the swag:
