[Review] Beef Lasagna from The French Baker

Yep! Lasagna from heaven! Ah~! My favorite pasta dish ever!

So my foodie journey brought me to The French BakerThe store is popular for fresh bread. I didn't know what to expect because it was my first visit to the restaurant. The staff were friendly, too. When I looked at the menu, I found that they serve two types of my favorite dish: Lasagna Verde, which was a veggie type and Beef Lasagna, the meaty one. I just had the thing for the latter. LOL!

When I waited for my order, I observed the chefs cooking behind the counter. It was so entertaining to watch them! Their quick movements and precise techniques were marks of expertise. Cool!

After 10-15 minutes, my lasagna arrived on the dot! A big serving at that! It smelled so good, with aroma of tomato and cheese. Well, it may not look like eye candy but I knew that it would taste delicious! Those chefs move with grace when they prepared it!

The lasagna has firm pasta and it is rich in tomato sauce. Every bit was full of beef. It was flooded with cheese which makes it all the more delicious! The flavor was more on the sweet side, so I think it will appeal to Filipinos.

However, about halfway through the dish, you might find that the flavor is overwhelming already (or in Filipino term, nakakaumay). So pair this lasagna with a good drink, like iced tea.

Now I understand why Garfield loves Lasagna so much! This Beef Lasagna is close enough to be a slice from heaven!
