Fab Finds at the World Bazaar Festival 2012
Have you done your Christmas shopping already? If not, there are a lot of options to choose from. There is Divisoria if you really want to get value for your money. However, you need to be courageous enough to brave the overwhelming crowd there. Streets full of people, the sun's heat, and the never ending stalls of goods will break you. If you find Divisoria a hassle, you can go to various bazaars, instead. Prices there are a little too high compared to Divisoria but you won't be in a place of discomfort.
Last weekend, my family and I checked out what's in store at the World Bazaar Festival in World Trade Center. The venue is air-conditioned and has good lighting. You need to purchase a ticket worth PhP50 to enter. There is still a crowd but it is small in comparison to the kind you will see in Divisoria. Of course, prices vary from cheap to expensive.
Booths selling Christmas decorations greet you the moment you enter the main tent.
The first thing we did when we got there was to eat! There is an area dedicated to food! It was hard to decide which ones to eat. Furthermore, some stalls offer free taste.
Then it was time to go around the bazaar for shopping! We first went around the booths selling packed food and pastries. Most of them offer free taste! On sale were noodles, rice, snacks, wine, polvoron, hopia, cupcakes, and a lot more. Uh.. did we just have dinner?
After the food stalls, I roamed around the place to find items and toys that were to my liking...
That completes my bazaar journey for the day. The place was so huge that I wasn't able to visit all the booths. So far, I'm very satisfied with what I saw. Oh! If ever you would want to go there, bring a handy tote bag with you. Plastic bags are banned in Pasay City, so the stalls wrap your stuff in paper bags without a handle.
World Bazaar Festival is until December 23, 2012. Schedule: Monday to Thursday 12NN-10PM; Friday to Sunday 10AM to 12MN.
