'Chocolate Surprise' Surprise
It's cupcake time again! The BDJ Passion Series event about self-defense using Krav Maga gave me a chance to go to Serendra! And that means a visit at Cupcakes by Sonja! After Red Velvet Vixen and Vanilla Sunshine, another variant gets the spotlight! I made the choice of choosing a flavor that I absolutely couldn't resist: Chocolate. This thing of beauty is called Chocolate Surprise!
The cupcake's design is simple and similar to other variants like Vanilla Sunshine. Chocolate Surprise is made up of soft cake topped with frosting and dashed with candy sprinkles. A piece of it cost PhP75 (as of writing).
Honestly, I was afraid to try this cupcake at first. Chocolate frosting... chocolate cake... the whole of it is too chocolate, except for the candy sprinkles. I feared it might be too sweet to handle!
But looks sometimes lie. I ate a portion of the soft frosting first and I found out that it was semisweet. The candy sprinkles tasted like your ordinary candy sprinkles. The cake part was the sweetest. When eaten together, the cupcake creates the perfect chocolate blend! The sweetness was tolerable and it didn't hurt the tonsils at all. I guess that is the surprise in Chocolate Surprise!
It is my ultimate chocolate cupcake! Every second eating it was so pleasurable, it made me crave for more! The experience took me to a wonderful chocolate ride, as only the best chocolate could!
